Problem
For this website redesign, the problem we focused on was the lack of user engagement; more specifically, a lack of online community.
Solution
An organic approach to make the space feel socially active. The way we achieved this was with a community message board where users are able to like, share, and comment on ideas and opinions.

Current layout
There were a couple problems with the current website including a broken member portal and an unnecessary user flow for joining the organization.
From the home screen, the user can either click on "Join" or get to the Join screen from the menu. Once there, the user is then redirected back to the home screen to fill out a form to join...

Postmortem
Expanding the User Base: Building a product for a specific demographic is easy, but limiting. Including a Community feature allowed us to expand our user base.

Stakeholders: Because our stakeholders didn’t respond until the last quarter of the project, we had an interesting final stretch as we combined final iterations with stakeholder input with limited time.

Plans for future improvement:
• Testing, Iterating, More Testing
• Increased functionality in the Community Page
• Further engagement with Stakeholders
• Conversational coding
